A bite of fame as Coleshill student stars in BBC ad

Harmonie Lloyd, a Year 10 student at the Coleshilll School is well known as ‘Mini Jo’ on Free Radio as part of the Mini Jo and Sparky double act.

Harmonie has just been cast for the commercial for the new BBC Bitesize App.  It’s an educational app for helping revision.  The app is being launched next month and the commercial is running from the 2nd of April on BBC1, BBC2, CBBC, Radio1 and the BBC Website.

Harmonie is a talented performer who has been interested in the arts from the age of 9 when she was cast in Cameron Mackintosh 25th anniversary tour of ‘Les Miserable’.   She played the young Lizzy Maddocks in the BBC1 television drama WPC56.  She also played Anita Heaton in the BBC1 drama Doctors.

Mr Smith-Childs, headteacher, said:

We are really proud of Harmonie, she is an enthusiastic and talented performer.   As well as her talents on TV and radio, she has played in various school productions.  She is currently playing “Tracy Turnblad” in the school production of Hairspray.  We look forward to seeing her in the new BBC Bitesize App commercial and wish her lots of luck for the future.”
