Arthur Terry School celebrates more outstanding GCSE results

Following a very pleasing set of Alevel results, we are delighted to report yet another set of outstanding GCSE results this year. These new style GCSEs are more demanding than their predecessors and therefore we are thrilled that over 80% of our students have achieved a grade 4 in English and Maths. In addition, over 61% of our students have achieved a grade 5 “strong pass” which is well above the expected national average. Over a quarter of entries were graded at 7 or above with over 70 being at the very top grade 9.  Given the turbulence in the system, these results are even more remarkable.

Associate Head Teacher Samantha Kibble said:

Yet again, our students have made us and their families proud with their phenomenal achievements”. We are indebted to our staff, governors and parents, who consistently work together to achieve the very best outcomes for our young people. These results will give our students the very best chance to succeed in the next stage of their lives, and we wish them all the very best.”
