Making the grade 9: Arthur Terry celebrates another year of outstanding GCSE success
The Arthur Terry School is delighted to report yet another set of outstanding GCSE results. In an extremely volatile and uncertain education climate, more than 80% of students have achieved the new grade 4 in English and Maths. In addition, over 60% of our students have achieved the new “strong” pass of a grade 5, which represents a fantastic achievement.
The outstanding academy’s attainment at the higher grades is particularly pleasing, with almost 40% achieving the equivalent of three or more A*/A grades. Furthermore, students achieved 32 of the new top grade 9s. This is well in excess of the expected national figure.
Head Teacher Neil Warner said:
Yet again, our students have made us and their families proud with their phenomenal achievements. We are indebted to our staff, governors and parents, who all worked together to achieve the very best outcomes for our young people. These results will give our students the greatest opportunities to succeed in the next stage of their lives, and we wish them all the very best.”
