Rolling out the red carpet at Coleshill Town Hall

Forget the Oscars and the BAFTAs – 32 talented year 11 students from the Coleshill School stepped up to receive prizes and praise at a red carpet Awards Evening at the Coleshill Town Hall on Friday 8 December.

The students were nominated by their teachers for their constant and sustained commitment to their school work and to school life in general.

To congratulate them on their success, each student received a personalised plaque.

Tony Battle, Coleshill Town Mayor, presented the awards to the students in front of their very proud parents and family members

Ian Smith-Childs, headteacher (pictured) said:

We are so proud of our talented Year 11 students.  They all deserve recognition for their hard work and commitment in this extremely important academic year working towards their GCSE exams in the summer.”

Eileen Bishop, head of year 11 (pictured) said:

We would like to express our gratitude to Plott Creative, Coleshill Mortgage Services, The Red Lion and Platinum Decorating for sponsoring this wonderful event.”
