Year 9 students enjoyed an exciting STEM Day (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) on Tuesday 21 November.
The Smallpeice Trust led the sessions which involved Year 9 students using engineering, electronic and creative skills to build working water pumps to collect rainwater, filter and provide a useful resource for the future. Students then had to do a presentation of their finished water pumps.
Kathryn Rollason, head of Science, said:
Year 9 students were inspired by the STEM day, creating future environmental technologies for sustainable projects.”
