Stockland Green School are delighted to announce another excellent set of GCSE results for academic year 2017-2018. Almost half of students achieved a Good Pass (5+) in both English and Mathematics which is a significant improvement, with over 60% of students achieving the expected pass grade of (4+).
In addition to these positive headline figures, the school are also happy to announce that with the challenges faced by new and more demanding specifications across a range of subjects including Sciences, the Humanities and Performing Arts, the majority of subjects have increased their pass rates for both (4+) and (5+). This success across the curriculum has culminated in a rise in overall academic attainment figures.
Marie George, headteacher, said:
We are absolutely delighted with our exam results and they have been achieved through hard work and commitment of students, their families, staff, governors and the wider Arthur Terry Learning Learning Partnership. I am exceptionally proud of all, but especially my staff and students who really do deserve this success. Today is a great day and we will enjoy celebrating with our students who we wish all the best as they move on to the next stage of their education.”
A huge thankyou from the Leadership Team to the whole Stockland Green School community including parents, governors and staff who have all played a significant part in these results, they are a testament to the collective drive and continued improvements made for the students in our care.
