By Royal invitation – Brookvale celebrates Harry and Meghan’s wedding in style

Excited children and staff at Brookvale Primary School are rolling out the red carpet this week to celebrate tomorrow’s Royal wedding, with a celebratory lunch and themed activities.

Pupils have donned their finest party clothes for a feast fit for a prince and princess. Fun activities include designing wedding dresses for Meghan Markle, making and decorating biscuits and celebratory cakes, and creating colourful decorations. This is to be followed by a traditional afternoon tea party, with children making cucumber/jam sandwiches.

Staff have also been providing snaps from their own wedding albums for Brookvale’s own version of the game ‘Guess Who?’

Anna Trigg, deputy headteacher, said:

The children and staff at Brookvale Primary have been very excited about the upcoming Royal Wedding. They love ‘theme days’ and as always the staff have planned fun and engaging activities that our children really enjoy.

It’s lovely to be able to celebrate this as a school community and are looking forward to the seeing the real thing on TV tomorrow!”
