Creative Coleshill School student, Kimberley, is sporting a bespoke games kit after scooping first place in a design competition.
The talented year 11 student’s winning design has been brought to life by Birmingham-based Mungo Sport, which presented Kimberley with the new kit during a visit to Coleshill School this week.
The idea took shape during a school visit to West Bromwich Albion Football Club, where students had the opportunity to find out more about studying physical education or sport at university.
During the trip, students took part in a workshop to design a sports kit for Mungo Sport, a new sportswear company started through funding from the Princes Trust. Kimberley was the overall winner and her prize was for Mungo Sport to create her design.
On Tuesday 9 October, representatives from Mungo Sport visited the Coleshill School to talk to students about how they started the business and to present Kimberly with her winning design made up into a sports kit.
Mrs Trude-Smith, PE teacher, said:
Kim’s a fantastic student who deserves this reward. She plays so much sport outside of school she is an inspiration and it’s really great for her to be able to actually see her design made up as a one-off customised kit.”
