During the annual STEM week (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) 81 students at The Coleshill School  took part in the National Biology Challenge competition.

Students undertook an hour long challenge consisting of two online papers designed to test their general biological knowledge as well as their application skills.

Ms Rollason, Head of Science and STEM Co-ordinator commented:

Once again, we are proud to recognise the achievements of our talented students, with 23 of our students gaining certificates and 4 of our students gaining medals.”

  • Charlie gained gold, placing him in the top 5.4% nationally
  • Finlay gained silver, gained by 9.4% nationally
  • Lewis and Oliver both gained bronze, gained by 15.6% nationally

A further 7 students gained highly commended certificates, gained by 13.6% nationally.

Finally, 16 students gained commended certificates, gained by 13.1% nationally.
