Peer mentoring training to raise awareness of bullying and safeguarding

Year 10 and 12 students from the Coleshill School have been taking part in peer mentoring training by Kidscape – an organisation that gives young people advice and raises awareness of bullying and keeping children safe.

The one-day training session included workshops on safeguarding, online safety and cyberbullying training.  Following on from the day, the students will become peer mentors, supporting children and young people from all year groups and helping them to succeed.

Mrs Bishop, careers leader, said:

This training session is really important as it will equip our students with knowledge, understanding and confidence and will help to build their self-esteem.  We would like to thank Coleshill Grammar School Trust for their kind donation to enable us to provide this important training for our students.”
