Harmonie Lloyd, Year 11 student at the Coleshill School has been awarded a scholarship at the prestigious Redroofs school of the Performing Arts in Maidenhead. Harmonie will be following in the footsteps of performers like Kate Winslet and Dani Harmer, who also trained at the school.
Harmonie secured her scholarship after two gruelling auditions in which she had to perform various songs, dances and monologues in front of a panel of actors, directors, producers and other industry professionals. Harmonie said:
I am ecstatic, proud and extremely thankful to be receiving the scholarship at Redroofs.. I am looking forward to starting in September and seeing what the future holds for me.”
Harmonie, well known as ‘Mini Jo’ on Birmingham’s Free Radio, is a talented performer who recently featured in a VW car advert. She has been interested in the arts from the age of 9 when she was cast in Cameron Mackintosh 25th anniversary tour of ‘Les Miserable’. She played the young Lizzy Maddocks in the BBC1 television drama WPC56, and she also played Anita Heaton in the BBC1 drama Doctors.

Harmonie is one of the most talented individuals I have had the pleasure of working with. She is an exceptional performer and practitioner. We are all absolutely thrilled that Harmonie has this opportunity; she deserves it. I look forward to seeing her on opening night in the West End!”
